Time moves too quickly...or sometimes not fast enough!

This year has been one wild ride, so far.  I've been looking forward to the end of May, since the end of January, so I'm the one who is probably wishing my life away!  Kalee's birthday was in January and we have been crazy busy with ball for the past few months...here are some pics that show all the fun we've had!

Kalee's birthday with her friends...she turned 11 this year!

Family birthday party...her favorite gift, outside of the trip to Disney World!  (pics to come)

We went to our first Rodeo!
Softball time!  Kalee pitched for the first time this year.  She did really good, for her first year pitching.  She is so calm...some of the other girls really get worked up, but Kalee does a great job of keeping her emotions at bay.  They can't all be strikes!  ;)

I LOVE this pic!  She is talking to herself, on the mound.  This was her first day pitching, and she did awesome!  Got her first strike out!

Same dress, but this is the day of her 5th Grade Gradution Ceremony

Looking more like her daddy, I think

Merry Christmas from the Page's!

Wishing all our family and friends a BLESSED Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Picking out the tree!

Ready for Christmas!

The Page doggies wish you Merry Christmas, too!

Kalee was the 'Librarian' in the kid's play at Church.  She was a natural at this sarcastic, dramatic part!  ;)

I have some catching up to do!

It's been a while since I updated this blog...not having internet at the house is my reason for being so far behind...oh the joys of living in the country!

I can't believe the first day of 5th Grade has already come and gone!  Kalee couldn't wait for school to start this year, mostly because her summer fun was ended by her knee injury.  The cause of the injury is unknown...but the effect of it is wearing this brace for up to 3 months!  ugh!  No walking without it, so that means she has spent a LOT of time in front of the tv.  We have gone to the pool a few times, but swimming isn't allowed either and Kalee is NOT a fan of just floating around the pool.  On the upside, we have watched a ton of movies, a lot of them were favorites of mine when I was a kid.  It's been fun!

My beautiful girl on the first day of 5th Grade

Our big trip this summer was back home, to good ol' Port St John...We enjoyed our time with family and friends.  Of course, there is never enough time to see everyone, so that makes the trip a little stressful, but we had a good time overall.

Uncle Richie, swinging with Andrew, at Andrew's Annual Homecoming par-tay!
At the party, and the picnic the next day, Uncle Vince showed everyone how to come down the slide and pop over the wall.  Kalee was determined to do it...and she finally did.  She was so funny...and cute!
Softball season was fun this year.  Kalee is really growing as a ball player.  It's still a little painful to watch at times (there is really no spirit of competition - and that makes me CRAZY!) but again, she is super cute!  :)

Grammie came to watch Kalee play a game...just had to snap a picture of that!

Kalee did a great job at hitting this season...and was adorable as catcher, although she did NOT want to stand the way a catcher is 'supposed' to.

Game Ball!

This was Rich's discovery one day while mowing the grass...he thought it was amazing.  The Bee flew directly into the barb on the fence.  Poor Bee!

Easter!  My sweet girl!

Kalee's first science fair project

We survived!  All I can say is 'Lord, please give me strength to make it through the rest of Kalee's school years!!!'  My sweet child is sooooooo NOT a school work kinda girl...has no interest, no desire, no follow through, which makes projects and homework and studying so much fun.  I'm praying that she figures it all out soon - life will be so much easier for all involved once she does!  :)  In the meantime, she is entertaining as always and sure does make life fun!

A Florida weekend

We took a quick trip down to FL in June, for Rich's cousin wedding.  Jessica was a beautiful bride and we are so happy she has found a wonderful husband!
Of course, the highlight of any FL trip is a chance to spend time with Andrew.  He is growing up too fast!

We brought Chase home with us, for a week, and had a great time!  I love spending time with my nieces and nephews...it does this Aunt's heart good!  The kids built a fort in the car, on the trip home.
My mom and I took Kalee & Chase tubing again this year.  We had a great time and I LOVE floating down the river with Chase.  He tells me all kinds of 'facts' about the river, and the rocks, and the sky, and the trees, etc.  It is very informational :) and I love seeing how his mind is working!
The worst part of the trip home was a call from my dad, saying that Jasper had been hit by a car!  Kalee and I were a mess the last half of the trip...Thankfully, all is well!  Jasper looked pretty rough when we finally made it home ~ he was HAPPY to see us walk through the door.  After a quick trip back to the emergency vet for another pain shot he settled down for the night.  I took him to our regular vet the next morning and after some x-rays she let me know that he was one lucky dog!  He had to suffer through 6 weeks of crate rest and NO playing, but he/we survived!  The pic below shows Midnight trying desperately to play with Jasper...but he wanted nothing to do with playing for about a week after the accident!
He had some nasty road rash on his legs and his chin, and all kinds of little cuts everywhere...
I snapped this picture after putting some cream on his road rash - he hated the cream and would pout after I put it on...I couldn't resist taking this picture, especially since he shoved  his snout under the blanket!
A few weeks after the accident I took him outside to sit in the grass for a bit while Rich mowed the yard.  While we were outside my mom drove up the driveway - Jasper couldn't get close enough to me and far enough away from the car.  I would like to say that he learned his lesson, but he's pretty stubborn!
