A visit with Sara, Pope and Dylan

Sara, Pope and Dylan stopped by on their way back home to Florida, from Boston. We have had a nice visit! Unfortunately Michaela is not with them - she stayed in Boston to visit family up there. We miss Michaela!

Happy Birthday, Charley!

I can't believe Charley turns 1 tomorrow! Craziness! Grammie T is in town for the special day, so Kalee has had fun spending time with her, Crystal & Charley all week. Kalee stayed in FL with Jessica and Savannah for a week, then hitched a ride up to Pensacola with her Uncle Stevie and Aunt Stacie. She met up with Grammie T there, and she brought her back to GA. She says "Savannah and me had so much fun...especially at the movies and at YaYa's pool!" The girl has had a fun couple weeks! AND Mike, Liisa and Aaron are gonna swing by this weekend (they are in South Carolina on vacation)...AND Chase arrived last night and will be here through next Sunday. Man, it's a tough life!Charley loved her cupcakes! She was a little timid at first, but didn't take long to devour them once she got a taste!Kalee, Charley and Maria...enjoying the slip n slide! She's such a beautiful little girl! Here is Jack (Jake)! He is such a good looking dog (although I am a little partial!!)Rich snapped this picture, although you can't see them too good, of a momma and baby deer. After he took this one, another baby deer came into view. This was taken off our back porch.

A Whirlwind, but FUN, weekend!

I decided to go with Rich to Huntington, West Virginia this weekend. He had to do some floor work at the account we have there and I thought I would keep him company on the drive, then lounge around by the pool. BUT, Rich got the work done much quicker than he thought, so we decided to head up to visit my family in Fairmont (which was about 3 hrs north). We had a great time! We were also able to stop in Charlotte, NC, on our way home today to have dinner with more cousins (I took my camera into the restaurant and then completely forgot to take a picture! ugh!). It was really a great weekend...I love visiting with family!
Drea, my cousin Stacey's daughter. Drea is a lot like Kalee...Stacey and Andy have a lot of fun years ahead! :)

Rich, holding Charlotte, Stacey and Andy's second daughter. She is completely adorable and soooo smiley!

My cousins Stacey and Kareen. It has been a long time since I have been to West Virginia - I was really excited to make the trip. It's so beautiful.

A homecoming party and a wedding!

We are in FL this weekend for Andrew's first Annual Homecoming party AND Anthony and Rebecca's wedding!!! Yay! We had a great time at both...here are a few pictures.

Kalee & some of Andrew's other cousins, entertaining him!

Kalee & her cousins Savannah (who is 5 months older) and Hannah (who is 3 months older).

Wedding Day! My beautiful new sister-in-law, Rebecca

Anthony & Rebecca's first dance...lots of smiles!

My mom & Anthony

Kalee & Chase

Chase was exhausted! Notice Kalee's shoes by Chase's head...she was dancing the night away while he slept!

My grammie! Isn't she cute?!

On Sunday we went to a bar-b-que at Vince & Sue's. I'm holding our miracle baby, Andrew and Luv-Ann & Donnie's baby, Rachel.

Rich had fun playing with Sierra, his cousin Jessica's daughter. She is SO much like Kalee - it is amazing. Their personalities are identical!

For Aunt Betsy

Here is a pic of the iron frame that Aunt Betsy fixed up for Kalee. We decided to put it in her bathroom, since it matched the shower curtain perfectly!

Our first visitors!

My friend Alison and her family came up for the weekend. We had a pretty laid back visit...we picked strawberries on Friday, did a little shopping on Saturday and went to the creek (followed by a visit to an urgent care clinic for Chris' sprained ankle) on Sunday. Alison's husband, John, helped Rich do a couple things around here, which I thought was WONDERFUL, because he is much stronger than me!
Even Midnight got in on the fun at the creek!
Rich hates cold water...and this water was FREEZING! But, Rich braved the cold for Annabelle! He even slipped on the slimy rocks and ended up getting super wet! Lucky Anna!

Bats!

We had bats in one of the columns at my parents house last year. When Donnie and Luv-Ann came to visit last July we smoked, then soaked them out, but failed to cover the hole to keep them from coming back. They didn't come back immediately, but we noticed the "smell" and the noise a month or so ago. Anyway, Alison and her family are here this weekend, so we went down to my parents to watch the bats fly out at dusk. I'm so excited that I caught it on video!

*Updated* Kalee's last Baseball game...and house stuff, of course!

Here is Kalee patiently waiting for a kid to hit the ball. Gee, can you see why baseball isn't Kalee's favorite sport? There is an awful lot of standing around!!! BUT, she got the ball and made the play!

Tonight was Kalee's last baseball game! I think we are all a little relieved! Here are 2 video's of her turn at bat. She's so cute!

Rich planted the Cherry Tree's yesterday! I was so excited to get home to see them. They look a little sad, since they were clumped together for so long, but we love how they line the driveway and can't wait until they grow!I bought 3 stools to use at the bar in the kitchen...So, it's not pretty, but here is the guest bedroom...all set up for our first guests this weekend! My friend Alison and her family are coming up Thursday evening! I am soooo excited! I'm still waiting on the comforter that I ordered - once I receive that I will be able to paint the room (I need it to match the color).

Baseball...and a productive afternoon!

Kalee had her second to last baseball game this morning. She is hitting the ball really great - her coach keeps telling her she is "crushing" it! I took some pics today - I'll try to get some video at her last game on Tuesday.
She hit this ball all the way to the fence!

I know it will be a while before we finish the basement, so I had the idea to attach material to the studs, so that the room will look a little more "finished". I bought some linen material today and my mom and I started to put it up tonight. It looks great - I am very happy with the result! I am definitely going to put material up in the other room, too - and set it up for when we have company! I'm thinking that I could probably put some insulation in the ceiling and attach the material up there, too. Hmmm....Kalee and I borrowed Guitar Hero from my cousins - and stayed up WAY too late playing it!
