Hunter is taking over...

So, we settled on the name Hunter. The only other option that Kalee could come up with was Spot...and we just couldn't do that!!! Anyway, he is doing well - only whined/howled for 3 nights or so, thank goodness, because that howl was fierce! Thankfully my grandma sleeps without her hearing aides, so we just let him howl away. He hasn't had any accidents in his crate and has only had 2 in the house - thankful for the concrete floors!!! He is very skiddish - just like Jade, which is a bummer, but we'll work on bringing him out of that and not encourage it like we did with Jade (so yes, no stare down contests, no submission holds, etc)! Jade is adjusting - I wouldn't say she likes him yet, but maybe soon! Daisy (my parents dog) absolutely hates him! She used to sneak down to the basement to play with Jade whenever someone left the stairway door open - now she won't come down at all. Pretty funny! The pics are of Jade's spot on the couch. Hunter tries to go lay with Jade but she will have none of it, so he has taken over her spot. And, instead of knocking him off, or laying with him, she hops up to the top of the couch.

Cheerleading!

Kalee cheered at her first football game tonight - she was super cute, as you can see! She is cheering for the Bears. She loved it. As we were walking back to the truck she said, "oh man, my legs are tired...and I am starving! I think I could eat a lot!" The game was exciting (ok, the last 6 minutes were exciting) we won, 13 to 0. Rich is soooo excited about 8 more weeks of games - ha!

Yes, she does exist...Here's Charley!!!

Here she is! Since Crystal and Kelly are still having...um...technical difficulties and haven't posted any pictures we decided that we needed to go see Charley in person! We spent the afternoon with Crystal and Charley today (Kelly was working on the Falcon). Charley is 12 lbs and super cute! Crystal looks great, too - skinny already!!! Of course, Charley is just a little doll. We were having great conversations, until I turned on the camera! I did finally manage to catch a few of the "cutest" moments, though. Such a fun day!

This video is of Kalee and her friend, Emma, sliding down the slimy rocks at the creek. Kalee, is of course, still the little dare devil. The girls fell on their bums, sides, knees and even flat on the bellies/faces soooo many times ~ but that didn't stop them from having a blast (and no bones were broken!). Even Hunter took a little spill as he jumped from rock to rock. Kalee also had her first "non-family" sleep over this weekend. My baby is growing up. :(

A year, already...

Well, it has been just over a year since we moved to Georgia. It doesn't seem possible. Our many trips back to Florida, and the visits from our family and friends coming here, have made it much easier. I was looking at all the pics from our going away party this morning and couldn't stop laughing, (the people in the cubes around me must think I am crazy!) so I thought I would share some of them!
Rich & Shawn singing karaoke...I wish I could remember some of the songs. All I know is that I laughed so stinkin' hard. Good times!

See??? I told you!

Alison thought it was funny, too!

Even Rich could only hold the laughter in for so long.

My favorite part of every party...hanging out on the back porch.
Posted this one just because they all make fun of my "big eyes"...see, I'm not the only one! I must've picked it up from Rick!
Sara & Stacy...I can't believe that I was actually able to capture a picture of Sara...this is a first in our 9 years of friendship!
Steve and a pregnant Betsy!

Rich's cousin Jonathan, Aunt Stacie & "Uncle" Billy

Cleaning up after the, um, incident!
After looking at all these pics I have decided that we must have another party in October, when we go to Florida - maybe we'll make it an annual thing! We miss you guys!!!

A new member of the family...

Kalee has been asking for a puppy for a long time, and the opportunity presented itself with this puppy, so we now have a new member of the family! He is a boy beagle and is about 13 weeks old. We haven't named him yet - we can't agree, so far. Rich and I like Hunter, but Kalee isn't too sure. We'll see! Any suggestions?

Kalee and her boys...

So, I have not printed a single picture since we moved to Georgia. I decided, a few days ago, that I should organize all the files on my computer and start printing out a few at a time (I have well over 500 to print - ouch!) Anyway, Kalee and I were looking at a few today and she saw this one and said "I love this picture - it's my favorite" and then with a dramatized cry voice "I miss my Uncle Stevie!". I took this picture a few weeks before we moved.
This picture is one of my favorites, from Kalee's one and only dance recital (so far). Notice the outie belly button...I think that's part of what makes it my favorite - I love that belly button!

First Day of 1st Grade!

Here are a few pics of Kalee before she left for school this morning - too cute! She is signed up for cheerleading this fall - our first meeting is on Saturday. Good thing, since she's got the stance down! Oh Boy... I've posted a couple videos of Kalee & Rich during dinner. I missed the most hilarious stuff, but this still gives a little insight into the conversations between daddy & daughter! (if you watch the videos, keep in mind that daddy is the one who bought Kalee her prized Hannah Montana cup and 4 Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus posters for her bedroom!!!)

Last trip of the summer! :(

Kalee is a little nervous about starting 1st grade, so we decided to take her on a surprise weekend trip. We went to Helen yesterday and went tubing down the Chattahooche River - they call it "tubin' the hooch", which Rich got a kick out of! The low water level made it a little bit of a work out, but we had a lot of fun. After tubing we went swimming in the hotel pool - Kalee was in heaven! Helen looks like a small German town, so after dinner we walked around and enjoyed all the little shops and of course...funnel cake - yum! Today we went gold and gem mining in Dahlonega. We went on a tour of an old gold mine, then got our chance to pan for gold and Kalee's favorite - gem mining. She was so cute - she would find a gem, ooh and aah over it and say "this is the best day ever!" She did this over and over again. Such a sweet kid!
This is a picture of part of the river that we tubed. It was much more crowded when we tubed!

Kalee was picking which river rocks she wanted to take home...little did she know we were going to the gold mine!

Kalee chose ice cream over a funnel cake - crazy girl!

Oh, to be a kid again!

Kalee & Chase had fun playing in the sprinkler (or ghetto wet-n-wild as we have affectionately called it through the years - we were only missing the kiddie pool!) Chase was here for 12 days and they had so much fun playing - they got along great for being together for so long. It is kind of amusing - they are so much like me and Anthony...Chase wants to love on Kalee and be with her and Kalee does not want to be loved on!!! Kalee is not a big snuggler, so it was great to have Chase around - he is the exact opposite! We miss him already!
Can you tell that Kalee loves to dance???

I don't even know....

So, I had to post these pictures to show you all what a little drama queen, picture loving child we have. I don't even know what to say - only I think we are in BIG trouble!!! Chase, as you can tell, is less impressed with the camera! We have a Covered Bridge not far from the house and my parents and grammie took the kids down to play on the rocks.
